Snez&#39;s trunk show was so inspiring and I was able to purchase previous embroidery club projects to work on. Learned lots of tips re the software that will certainly make future work easier. I completed my velvet shoe bag Friday night at home (just a bit of hand sewing) and machine hemmed the table topper Sunday morning so both projects are finished. I didn&#39;t use the serger to finish the edges on my placemats or banner, but did a double 1/4&quot; hem instead using the left edge topstitch foot and the fabric<br>folding pen. Both worked great--I put the embroidery thread that I used for my designs on my bobbin so the hem stitching would match my embroidery. Looks really good. <br>I took design sc031d_04 and flipped it to the vertical position for my plus hoop embroiderers. Cannot test it for that hoop but it did work well in the midsize (100x170) hoop so I think it will be fine for the plus hoop. I had to go into preferences and switch off the spell cheque (haha) to be able to create the &quot;is for elephant&quot; with a lower case &quot;i&quot;. If the spell check is active, then &quot;is&quot; will be capitalized automatically.<br><br>My class loved the framed embroideries. It is my Embroidery Club Project at the end of this month. I had a great time playing with this.<br>I made a few changes and Snez asked that I share them.<br>First off, I made a pocket on the back of the calendar the same size as the calendar and slipped a 1/8&quot; board in it for stability.<br>I made 3 loops at the top for hanging the calendar and attached them with cermaic buttons. Then I got a very pretty hanger at Ikea to put it on.<br>I then bought a set of small embroidery designs and made extra buttons, a birthday cake, a halloween silouette witch, a soccer ball, easter egg, that kind of thing.<br>Then I made a zipper pouch for the extra months, and buttons to be stored in. I made it the same width as the calendar so that I could attach it with more ceramic buttons to the bottom but have not decided if I will do that yet.<br>I am currently putting on all the velcro and such and when I get it done, perhaps I can post a picture somewhere.<br>For my embroidery club, I kitted the board, the button cover making kit, and the pkgs of covered buttons as well as 3m velcro.
